She bites hard on my lip,
nearly drawing blood,
and I know I’m alive.
Her fire kindles my frigid soul,
I am awakened,
feel my heat growing inside.
I see chaos in her eyes,
an earthquake so powerful,
my body vibrates from the shockwaves.
Her thunder,
frightening and explosive,
pleases me more than a sunny day.
I try to leave, cut away the tether,
but I can’t help myself.
I have to look back.
I shouldn’t have looked back.
