When the dark cloud arrives,
With its punishing pain,
You know you must hold tight
To your chain links again.
Lay off the liquor,
Go for a walk,
Eat healthy food,
Stay quiet, don’t talk.
Avoid the nostalgia,
Take a hot shower,
Push-ups and sit-ups,
Sleep for eight hours.
The soul pain will worsen,
Before it gets better,
It hasn’t yet killed you,
Hopefully not ever.
Try not to worry,
Don’t think you’re insane,
The black cloud will pass,
Just don’t break the chain.
